House Leveling

House leveling is generally when a house is measured for its elevation then the lowest points of elevation are lifted up to the highest point of elevation to reach a level elevation. This home actually had rotten wood pilings and the client did not want to raise up the house more than necessary .The home had a total foundation replacement. The plastic on the ground was where we pumped out any left over concrete to save the lawn from getting destroyed. All concrete and debris was hauled off at completion. A-1 Remodeling and Building, Inc. drew a floorplan of the house and took elevations. Then, we shored up the house and removed all wood pilings, after a foundation plan was drawn. We installed a new foundation with structural supports. Then we leveled the home by way of lifting all the low elevation points up to the highest elevation point and shimmed the house with the appropriate shim material. Last we strapped all piers to the house. This house was located in St Tammany Parish. At A-1 Remodeling & Building, Inc. we have employees on staff and we do all types of foundation repairs, such as house leveling, shoring, rotten wood replacement and house raising.
